First Nation's representation in Sports
Recently in the Star Phoenix there was an article talking about the damaging affects of First Nations depictions in Sport Culture. There has also a growing protest through Idle No More that is trying to the Saskatoon High School Bedford Road Collegaite to change there school nickname and logo from the "Redmen" to something that is not offensive to First Nations peoples.
Below are 2 articles that discuss the effects of using sport logos based on race. The Star Phoenix article is also below with the Prezi that we look at in class.

Final Review 2013
Here is the review for Unit 1. Use this as a way to organize your notes and figure out what you may be missing or don't understand.
Remember: The review is added to your test score. not only does doing the review help you
study it also can help your mark. So here is how it works:
If the test is out of 60 Marks and the review is out of 10 Your test mark would actually be out
of 70.
Example:
On your Test you get 50, you add this to your review mark, 10 and your total mark on your test 60 10
would be 60, if you didn't do the review your mark is 50.
70 70
